1. Your Right to Data Deletion

At Flixly (operated by SOFTFORGE DIGITAL LTD), we respect your right to have your personal data deleted. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

This page explains how to request deletion of your data and what happens when you do.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data using any of the following methods:

Email Request

Send an email to privacy@flixly.ai with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your Flixly account.

Contact Form

Visit our Contact Page and submit a data deletion request. Select "Data Deletion" as the topic and provide your account email address.

3. What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently delete the following data:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, profile picture, and login credentials
  • Generated Content: All AI-generated images, videos, audio files, and associated prompts
  • Usage History: Generation history, task records, and activity logs
  • Chat Conversations: All AI chat conversations and messages
  • Payment History: Transaction records (except where required by law for tax/accounting purposes)
  • API Keys: All developer API keys and associated usage logs
  • Social Features: Likes, comments, and public gallery posts
  • Preferences: Account settings, notification preferences, and saved configurations

4. Processing Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and process the deletion within 30 days of receiving a verified request, as required by UK GDPR. In complex cases, this may be extended by an additional 60 days, in which case we will notify you of the extension and the reasons for it.

5. Data We May Retain

In certain circumstances, we may be required to retain some data even after a deletion request:

  • Legal Obligations: Financial records required for tax and accounting compliance (retained for up to 7 years as required by UK law)
  • Fraud Prevention: Data necessary to prevent fraud or enforce our Terms of Service
  • Content Moderation: Records of content policy violations to prevent abuse
  • Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot identify you

6. Third-Party Data

When you use Flixly, some of your data may be processed by third-party services including AI model providers, payment processors (Stripe), and analytics tools. Upon account deletion, we will make reasonable efforts to request deletion of your data from these third parties where applicable and technically feasible.

7. OAuth / Social Login Data

If you signed up using Google, GitHub, Discord, or Facebook, deleting your Flixly account does not affect your account with those services. To revoke Flixly's access to your social account, visit the connected apps settings in your respective provider's dashboard.

8. Confirmation

Once your data has been deleted, we will send a confirmation email to your registered email address (sent before the email is deleted from our records). Please note that after deletion, you will not be able to recover your account, generated content, or purchase history.
